What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your previous X-rays, Scans relevant to your current problem. It would also be helpful to bring recent blood test results if this is relevant to what you are being treated for.
To streamline things, you can let our lovely admin staff where you got them, they might be able to retrieve these and you won’t need to bring them in.
Optionally, to save time when you arrive at the clinic, we recommend that you download, print and fill out a New Patient Form before your appointment.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please wear loose fitting clothes. Testing we do often need you to have loose fitting clothes, please avoid wearing jeans as possible.
If you need to disrobe, we have gowns and shorts to accommodate for this.
If your shoulder or neck is being examined, a singlet is a great option for our female patients.
Do I need a referral?
Referrals are not required unless you are a Workers Compensation or third-party patient.
If you are a DVA (department of veterans affairs) patient, you need a D904 referral from your GP to commence physiotherapy.
Also, if you are a white card DVA holder, you need a referral every 12 months as these run out.

What happens during a physiotherapy consultation?
The physiotherapist will ask you a series of questions that will assist them in diagnosing your condition. Things you might think are irrelevant could be key in your diagnosis.
Then, they will run an objective assessment looking at your function, movement patterns, limitations, strength, proprioception, test your neurological system before they discuss the findings and begin the treatment phase.
You will be given an individualised home exercise program if appropriate for the condition treated.
